In this episode, Peter and Frank participate in the #AllPurpleAllTheTime challenge, a gauntlet tossed at our feet by the good fellows of Arkham Chronicle. We're joined by the Mythos Busters and the team is rounded out by The Whisperer in Darkness, aka the Man from Leng, and it's a pretty simple mission: we each have to build a deck for a mystic investigator, and they'll make up an all purple investigative team!
We drew... Akachi Onyele, so tune in as we discuss her strengths and weaknesses and build a deck for her. To see our final deck, take a look here: https://arkhamdb.com/decklist/view/4092/allpurpleallthetime-akachi-onyele-1.0.

Episode 41: Think on your Feet I
Join Frank for a new type of Drawn to the Flame episode: Think on your Feet, a live play series. In this episode, very much the pilot, he takes a Roland deck through a little campaign called... The Night of the Zealot. Will the zealot get enough sleep? What happens when morning breaks?
This is a new style of episode for Drawn to the Flame, and we'd be delighted to hear what you think of it. We wanted to dive straight in, so there isn't much introduction and Frank cracks on. We wanted it to sound real - as it is - so there's been minimal editing, mainly just shortening up long pauses and removing the sounds of traffic from outside. You can hear the token bag being shaken and cards being shuffled, and that's all intentional. It's a live play-through!
Frank chose a good stuff Roland deck he'd cooked up - no frills, no tricks - to try out for this style of episode. Here's the list: https://arkhamdb.com/deck/view/93235 You can click through that list to the future iterations, but maybe do that when you hear the musical cue.
What else? Time stamps: scenario 1 begins at 1 minute; scenario 2 begins at 25 minutes; scenario 3 begins at 52 minutes. ENJOY! Merry Christmas! Oh and if you like this sort of episode and have read this far... tell Frank whom he should play as next!

Episode 40: Frank's First Look at A Phantom of Truth
Join Frank for another first look, this time at the player cards of A Phantom of Truth, the third mythos pack in the Path to Carcosa cycle. There is lots of oohing and ahhing, and some personal details from your boy Frank... but more importantly: what terror cards are out there? What are relics? And is salt on a slug really a cheap shot?
The card discussion itself starts almost exactly at 3 minutes.

Episode 39: Minh Thi Phan
She trained as a secretary and then worked as a personal assistant - and she is exceptional at helping others. She's skilful and a born survivor, able to live on her wits. And her analytical mind is obsessed with decoding the secrets of a very dangerous play: The King in Yellow. That's right, this episode is all about Arkham Horror's newest seeker, the secretary Minh Thi Phan. Join Peter and Frank as they discuss her potencies and deficiencies.
At twenty minutes or so, Frank talks about not being able to investigate if there are no clues around. Of course what he means is: you can still investigate, but you won't get a clue for investigating, which is a shame if you're using an investigation as the test to add six icons to to clear The King in Yellow.
